General And I Review

A Historical Epic That’s Surprisingly Modern

If you’re a fan of historical epics, then you’ll definitely want to check out General And I. Set in the early days of China’s Qin dynasty, the show follows the story of a young woman named Ying Zheng who becomes the Empress Dowager and falls in love with a general named Li Xin.

Despite its setting, General And I is surprisingly modern in its approach. The show doesn’t shy away from tackling controversial topics like political intrigue and sexual relationships. It also features strong female characters who are just as capable as their male counterparts.

The acting is excellent across the board, but it’s Liu Tao who really shines as Ying Zheng. She brings a vulnerability to the character that makes her likable and relatable, despite her position of power.

If you’re looking for a historical drama that feels fresh and modern, then be sure to check out General And I.

General And I: The Characters

The General:

The General is the main character in the story. He is a great military leader and has a lot of experience in battle. He is also very intelligent and has a great sense of strategy. However, he is not perfect and can sometimes be too rash or impulsive.

The I:

The I is the other main character in the story. She is a young woman who is very beautiful and kind-hearted. However, she is not as experienced as the General and often makes mistakes. She also has a strong sense of duty and loyalty to her country.

General And I: The Plot

The story of General and I is set in the early 1900s during the Qing Dynasty. It follows the story of a tomboyish girl named Chu Xia (played by Bai Jingting) who disguises herself as a man so she can join the army. She meets a dashing young general named Tong Zhengyan (played by Elvis Han) and they quickly fall in love. However, their relationship is fraught with difficulties because of their different social classes and the fact that Chu Xia is masquerading as a man.

The drama was very popular when it aired in China and became one of the most-watched shows on iQiyi. It has also been praised for its strong female lead character and its depiction of a same-sex relationship.

General And I: The Ending

The popular Korean drama “General and I” came to an end last night, and fans are still reeling from the show’s massive cliffhanger.

The series finale saw our heroine, Kang Yi (played by IU), finally confess her love for Lee Jong Suk’s character, General Choi Young. But just as the two were about to share a passionate kiss, they were interrupted by a soldier who had been sent to find Yi.

It turns out that Yi’s father was seriously ill and she was needed back home immediately. She said goodbye to Young and left without telling him how she felt.

Fans have been wondering if this is the end of the story or if there will be a second season of “General and I.” Unfortunately, it seems like we may never know what happened between Yi and Young after that final cliffhanger.

General And I: The English Subtitles

Ever since I was young, I’ve loved watching dramas. My mom would always put on the latest Chinese drama for us to watch together and I would be immediately hooked. From the first episode of General And I, I was completely engrossed in the story. The characters are so well developed and the plot is very engaging.

I’m really glad that there are English subtitles available for this drama so that more people can enjoy it. The subtitles make it easy to follow along and understand what’s going on, even if you don’t know Mandarin.

If you’re looking for a good drama to watch, I highly recommend General And I. It’s one of the best ones I’ve seen in awhile.”

General And I: The Netflix Release

Netflix has finally released the drama “General and I” for viewers in the US! The popular Chinese drama, which originally aired on Hunan TV in 2017, is now available to stream on Netflix.

The drama tells the story of a Korean general named Lee Sung-joon (played by Jang Hyuk) who falls in love with a woman named Ma Hye-ri (played by Kim So-eun). The two must overcome obstacles such as war, family opposition, and their own personal demons in order to be together.

“General and I” is a beautifully shot drama with strong performances from its leads. If you’re looking for a moving historical romance, this is definitely the drama for you.

General And I: Overall Thoughts

The drama was pretty good! I liked the story and the acting was solid. However, there were a few things that bugged me.

First off, let’s talk about the ending. It was kind of abrupt and left a lot of loose ends. I would have liked to see a little more closure, especially since it seemed like there were still some unresolved feelings between the two leads.

Second, the romance was a bit lacking for me. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed seeing their relationship grow, but I felt like it could have been developed more. There also weren’t really any steamy scenes between them, which is always a plus in my book.

Third, there were quite a few plot holes throughout the drama. For example, why didn’t anyone find out that General Ji had amnesia sooner? And how did he suddenly regain his memories at the end? Also, what ever happened to that other woman who was interested in him? She just kind of disappeared from the story altogether.

Overall though, I thought General And I was entertaining and worth watching. If you’re looking for a lighthearted romantic drama with some comedy thrown in, then this one is definitely worth checking out!
